Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Being nice doesn't mean you should allow people to take advantage of you, misuse you, or ill-treat you, Royal. God brought you into this world knowing that there are wolves hence he said to be wise as a serpent he didn't say you must be the serpent.
That means he wants you to use intelligence, not your emotions when dealing with situations such that nothing can harm you. Do some research about these 3 animals mentioned in the scripture combine all their characteristics and see what you can come out with I believe you can learn a lot from them.
God doesn't want you to be foolish and careless with your life, he wants you to be smart, be good, use your intelligence, and be harmless at the same time meaning the enemy can't trap you with anything because you are always ahead and the Holy Spirit guides all your steps. #BeStrategic
