If we really love God, we will not be afraid of him. We cannot love him completely and also be afraid. We would only be afraid of God if we thought that he would punish us. So, if someone is afraid that God will punish them, it shows that they do not completely know God's love.

Perfect love casts out fear, Royal, you can't love God and be afraid at the same time, nor can you love others and be afraid. God’s love brings you peace and happiness not fear, insecurity, or condemnation. If you can completely know God’s love you will live a fearless life filled with his peace. #PerfectLove
